When the vineyard of Schiopettino (first released in 2005) had to be torn out and they were unwilling to spray near their family, they decided to build the “Pig Palace” and put in a fruit orchard. From this transition, came the inspiration for BLACK PIG pinot and PINK PIG sparkling wine. Still produced today, the labels riff on their favorite pig icon and embrace it whole hog.
